QA Lead Auditor - IsO 9001, API

Job Summary

PPI Quality & Engineering is a global provider of quality assurance, engineering, and inspection services to the energy industry and is strengthening its audit capability with a QA Lead Auditor for our client located in Hai Phong, Vietnam. In this role, you will plan, perform, and lead quality assurance audits across oil and gas operations, ensuring compliance with international, regulatory, and industry standards.

About the role

The Lead Auditor will be responsible for planning, conducting, and reporting an internal audit at the manufacturing facility located in Cam Giang Commune, Hai Phong, Vietnam.

The audit scope will cover the assessment of the company’s Quality Management System and its compliance with the following standards:

• ISO 9001:2015
• API Q1
• API 6A

The assignment includes:

• Preparation and review of relevant documentation prior to the audit
• Evaluation of the Quality Management System implementation and effectiveness
• Verification of compliance with ISO 9001:2015 requirements
• Assessment of API Q1 quality management system requirements
• Review of API 6A product-related processes, controls, and documentation
• Conducting interviews with key personnel
• Identifying non-conformities, observations, and improvement opportunities
• Issuing a detailed audit report in English with clear findings and recommendations

The Lead Auditor is expected to perform the audit independently, ensuring objectivity, technical accuracy, and full alignment with the applicable standards.

Do you have what it takes?

• Valid Lead Auditor certification issued by an industry-recognized certification body
• Demonstrated training and hands-on experience in API Q1
• Demonstrated training and hands-on experience in API 6A
• Strong working knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 auditing standards
• Proven experience conducting internal audits within manufacturing environments
• Professional-level reporting skills in English
• Preferably fluent in Vietnamese (spoken and written)
• Preferably currently located in Vietnam

Important: The auditor must be officially certified and able to demonstrate solid API Q1 and API 6A audit experience.

Candidates who are Vietnamese-speaking and already based in Vietnam will be strongly preferred due to project logistics and communication requirements.
